About this course
Paediatric emergencies present unique challenges that require rapid recognition, decisive action, and highly coordinated teamwork. Each year, children in the UK experience life-threatening deterioration and cardiorespiratory arrests in both hospital and community settings.
With paediatric patients often showing subtle or rapidly changing signs of clinical decline, it is essential that healthcare professionals are confident and competent in delivering safe and effective resuscitation.
Pacemaker Academy’s European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) course is based on the gold-standard guidelines from the Resuscitation Council UK.
The course provides participants with the advanced knowledge and practical skills needed to assess and manage seriously ill or injured children, recognise and intervene early in paediatric deterioration, deliver high-quality paediatric resuscitation, and lead or support the resuscitation team during critical events.
Our training blends evidence-based teaching with immersive, scenario-based simulations to ensure participants can apply their skills confidently in real paediatric emergencies. With expert instructors and a strong emphasis on teamwork, leadership, and structured communication, this course offers a highly engaging and impactful learning experience.
